Description

The Knightsbridge track adaptor is a white polycarbonate component that clips into TRK single-circuit track systems to mount pendant lights or provide a power feed point for accessories. The adaptor accepts flex cables between 1.5mm and 6mm diameter and supports a maximum load of 100W and 5kg per fitting, suitable for most domestic pendant shades and small track-mounted spotlights.

Designed for kitchens, retail spaces and commercial installations where pendant lights need to be positioned within a track run rather than at fixed ceiling points, the adaptor allows a single track circuit to carry both directional spotlights and decorative pendants. The 40mm length and 37mm width match the standard profile of Knightsbridge TRK track, and the adaptor slides into position along the track before locking with a quarter-turn mechanism. The white finish matches Knightsbridge white track profiles and ceiling fixings.

The polycarbonate body and copper contact components are rated IP20 for indoor dry-location use. The adaptor carries Class I earthing and operates on 230V 50Hz mains, consistent with standard UK residential and commercial installations. Each adaptor weighs approximately 50g and adds minimal load to the track suspension.

Frequently Asked

What cable size does it accept?

The adaptor accepts flex cables between 1.5mm and 6mm diameter, which covers standard pendant flex used in the UK. Most pendant lights with braided or PVC flex will fit without modification.

How is it installed in the track?

The adaptor slides into the TRK track channel, then locks in place with a quarter-turn rotation. Once locked, the pendant cable is threaded through and the electrical connection is made via the copper contacts inside the adaptor body.

What weight can it support?

The maximum load is 5kg per adaptor. This covers most small to medium pendant shades, fabric drum pendants and glass globe pendants typically used in kitchens and dining areas.

Is it compatible with all TRK track systems?

Yes, this adaptor is designed specifically for Knightsbridge TRK single-circuit track systems. It is not compatible with three-circuit or competitor track profiles.
