Tosca 6 Light Square Glass Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Tosca is a 450mm square flush ceiling light with an antique brass frame surrounding rectangular crystal prisms and a frosted glass central diffuser. Six G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the glass panel, casting light through the crystal prisms that line the inside perimeter of the brass frame. A single faceted crystal sphere hangs at the centre, adding a decorative focal point beneath the frosted glass.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m where a pendant would hang too low, the Tosca provides ambient ceiling lighting whilst maintaining 180mm of projection from the ceiling surface. The flush-mount configuration works in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways where close-to-ceiling fittings are required by planning restrictions or where a flat ceiling profile is preferred. The 450mm square footprint covers standard UK ceiling rose positions and provides enough light output for rooms up to 4m x 4m when paired with six 5-6W LED G9 bulbs.

The antique brass finish shows a warmer, slightly aged tone compared to polished or brushed brass, pairing well with traditional and transitional interiors that use warm wood tones, terracotta, or heritage paint colours. The rectangular crystal prisms are facet-cut to refract light across multiple angles, creating small points of reflected light on adjacent walls and ceilings when the fitting is switched on. The frosted glass diffuses direct glare from the bulbs whilst allowing the crystal prisms to remain clearly visible from below. At 4.4kg the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or a ceiling anchor rated to the full weight.

What bulbs does the Tosca take?

The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 5-6W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for sufficient ambient light in a living room or dining room.

Is the Tosca suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 180mm projection from ceiling to base makes it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The flush-mount configuration avoids the head-clearance issues of pendant lights in lower-ceiling rooms.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED G9 bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.
