Description

The Torch is a 1100mm linear pendant light with an integrated 22W LED running the length of a slender 19mm-wide bar, finished in sand black. The LED delivers 1750 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a frosted acrylic diffuser that runs the full length of the bar, creating even linear illumination without visible hotspots. The rectangular bar is suspended on two adjustable cables from a matching sand black canopy.

Designed for positions above kitchen islands, dining tables, and workbenches where directed linear light is needed without the visual bulk of a traditional pendant, the Torch suits spaces with modern, minimal or industrial interiors. The drop adjusts between 70mm and 1600mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set low over a worktop (typically 700-800mm above the surface) or higher in rooms with taller ceilings. The 1100mm length covers a typical 2-2.5m island or table without needing multiple fittings.

The sand black finish is a low-sheen matt coating that sits darker than standard matt black, closer to charcoal. The narrow 19mm profile means the fitting reads as a clean horizontal line rather than a box when viewed from below. At 1.35kg the fitting is light enough to hang on standard UK ceiling roses without additional support. The 120° beam angle spreads light across a wide area below the bar, suitable for both task lighting (food prep, reading) and ambient lighting in open-plan spaces.

Running at 220-240V on 50/60Hz mains, the non-dimmable LED holds a fixed 3000K output and carries a 3 year warranty for added reassurance.

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and must be run at full output on a standard on/off switch.

The 1100mm length covers a typical 2-2.5m kitchen island or dining table as a single fitting. For longer islands or tables, two Torch fittings can be installed end-to-end or spaced evenly along the length.

How high should it hang above a worktop?

For kitchen islands and food prep areas, the fitting typically hangs 700-800mm above the worktop surface. This gives enough clearance for working while keeping the light close enough to provide task illumination without glare.

Can the cables be shortened?

Yes. The suspension cables are adjustable between 70mm and 1600mm during installation, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling height and the intended use of the space below.
