Description

The Tiffany Oval is a 1000mm x 500mm chandelier built around an antique brass frame that supports eight E27 bulb holders, a pleated bronze fabric drum shade overhead, and cascading crystal pendants underneath. The oval configuration positions the bulbs in two parallel rows beneath the shade, with the bronze fabric diffusing the upward light while the crystals catch and refract the downward spill.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and rectangular hall tables, the elongated oval footprint distributes light along the length of the surface beneath rather than concentrating it in a single pool. The 1200mm minimum drop positions the shade 700-900mm above a typical table height in rooms with 2.4m ceilings, while the adjustable cable allows extension to 1660mm for higher ceilings or lower mounting positions. The antique brass finish on the metalwork shows a warmer, slightly aged tone compared to polished or brushed brass, pairing well with traditional and transitional interiors.

The bronze shade is a pleated semi-sheer fabric that softens the direct light from the eight bulbs while maintaining enough translucency to cast ambient glow into the ceiling void. Below the shade, crystal droplets hang in strands from each bulb position, adding decorative weight and introducing movement when air circulates in the room. At 7kg installed weight, the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or rated ceiling rose, not plasterboard alone.

How is the drop adjusted?

The cable length is adjustable during installation between the 1200mm minimum and 1660mm maximum drop. Once installed, the cable is secured and cannot be easily re-adjusted without removing the ceiling canopy and re-feeding the cable.
