Description

The Thea is a 900mm linear LED pendant light with a satin aluminium body, frosted acrylic diffuser and integrated 21W LED array delivering 1890 lumens at 3000K warm white. The fitting comprises three individual LED modules housed inside a continuous rectangular profile that measures 120mm wide and 900mm long, suspended on two cables from a rectangular ceiling plate.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and office desks, the Thea provides even directional task light along its length. The adjustable drop ranges from 280mm to 1100mm, allowing it to be set at typical dining table height (700-750mm above the surface) or kitchen island worktop height (650-750mm above the counter) depending on ceiling height. The dual-cable suspension keeps the body level and stable without requiring secondary fixing points.

The frosted acrylic diffuser runs the full length of the underside, turning the LED point sources into a continuous line of light without visible hotspots. The satin aluminium finish provides a muted metallic tone that sits between polished chrome and brushed steel, pairing comfortably with stainless appliances, grey cabinetry and neutral-toned interiors. The rectangular ceiling plate measures approximately 280mm x 120mm and fits standard UK ceiling roses with the cables concealing the wiring run.

The dual-cable suspension allows the plate to be aligned with the room while the profile hangs level below. Setting the drop toward 280mm keeps the fitting close to the ceiling in lower rooms, while extending toward 1100mm brings the light down over a lower surface. The 1.6kg weight sits comfortably on a standard ceiling rose fixing without secondary support.

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light output is fixed at 1890 lumens.

What length kitchen island or dining table does it suit?

The 900mm fitting suits tables or islands between 1200-1600mm long. For longer surfaces, consider installing two Thea fittings end-to-end with a 400-500mm gap between them, or look for a longer linear pendant in the range.

How is the drop adjusted?

The cables are adjustable during installation from 280mm minimum to 1100mm maximum. Once set, the cables are locked at that height. Adjusting the drop after installation requires removing the ceiling plate and re-setting the cable length.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED modules are integrated into the aluminium body and are not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 3-year warranty. LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours at full output, which equates to approximately 15-20 years of typical residential use (4 hours per day).
