Description

The Sparklite is a 20-light suspension fitting built around a vertical white-painted metal column with radiating arms arranged in four tiers, each arm terminating in a white blown glass globe with a brass socket collar. The frame spans 860mm diameter and extends 890mm in height before suspension cable, making it suitable for double-height entrance halls, split-level living spaces and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above.

Each of the twenty globes houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) behind acid-etched white cased glass, which diffuses the light in all directions while preventing direct glare from below. The matt white finish on the metal arms and central column gives the fitting a clean sculptural presence in daylight, while the brass socket collars add warmth when the lamps are lit. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer module.

The geometric tiered arrangement of the arms distributes light evenly across a horizontal plane, making the Sparklite effective as primary illumination over a large dining table (seating 8-12) or as ambient fill in open-plan spaces where a single central fitting needs to cover 25-35m². The white and brass combination works in both contemporary interiors with white walls and warm-toned traditional spaces with oak or walnut furniture. At 860mm diameter the fitting needs clearance — allow at least 1m from walls or obstacles in all directions.

The Sparklite takes twenty G9 bulbs, sold separately. Most installations use 2.5W-4W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K). With twenty bulbs the combined light output is substantial, so lower-wattage LEDs are usually sufficient.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting itself is 890mm tall before suspension cable. For safe clearance in a living or dining space you need a minimum ceiling height of 3.5m, allowing the base of the fitting to hang at least 2.2m above floor level. Lower ceilings will cause the fitting to dominate the vertical space.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting is rated as dimmable. Dimming performance depends on the G9 bulbs you install — use dimmable-rated LED G9 bulbs and pair with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer module for smooth dimming without flicker.

How much weight does the ceiling rose need to support?

The Sparklite is a substantial multi-tier metal fitting. Confirm your ceiling rose and fixing can support the combined weight of the frame, twenty glass globes and bulbs before installation. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician or use a reinforced ceiling rose rated for chandeliers.
