Description
The Spar is a 14-light linear suspension built from a chain of faceted polyhedral modules, each finished in matt black on the outside and gold-plate on the inside. The modules join end-to-end to form an irregular, sculptural beam that holds 14 x E27 lamp fittings (bulbs sold separately). E27 GLS filament bulbs suit the fitting best, with the warm filament reflecting off the gold inner surfaces.
Designed for long horizontal spans, the Spar suits kitchen islands of 2.5m or longer, large dining tables seating eight or more, and open-plan office zones where a single linear feature is needed instead of a row of separate pendants. The fitting drops on a single black flex from a ceiling rose, and the height of the suspension is set on installation. A minimum ceiling height of around 2.6m is recommended to give clearance below the modules.
Each module is constructed from cut and folded metal panels, riveted at the edges to form a closed polyhedron with one open face that exposes the gold interior and the bulb within. At 142cm wide and 190cm in overall height (including drop), the Spar is a substantial fitting and arrives flat-packed for assembly on site, with each module bolting onto the next to form the final shape. The contrast between the matte black exterior and reflective gold-plated lining gives strong directional light at each module, with warm reflected glow on surfaces below.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Spar take?
The Spar takes 14 x E27 bulbs (Edison screw), sold separately. E27 GLS filament bulbs are the recommended pairing — the visible filament reflects in the gold-plated inner panels and gives the warm glow the fitting is designed around.
What size space does it suit?
At 142cm wide, the Spar is built for long spans. It suits kitchen islands of 2.5m or longer, dining tables seating eight or more, and open-plan zones where a single linear feature replaces a row of pendants. A minimum ceiling height of around 2.6m is recommended for comfortable clearance.
Does it arrive assembled?
No. The Spar arrives flat-packed, with each polyhedral module bolting onto the next during installation. This allows the fitting to be carried into the room in sections and assembled in place rather than manoeuvred through doorways at full size.
Is the height adjustable?
Yes. The Spar suspends on a black flex from a single ceiling point, and the drop length is set during installation by trimming the cable to suit the ceiling height and desired position above the table or island.
