Description

The Sophie is a 2-arm wall light with a gold painted finish, pleated cream silk shades and amber-tinted crystal drop accents on each arm. Each arm curves outward from an oval backplate, holding an E14 bulb fitting inside a tapered cream shade. The crystal drops hang beneath the shade collars, catching light when the fitting is on or when daylight passes through a nearby window.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where soft ambient light is needed at wall level, the Sophie suits traditional and transitional interiors. The 475mm width makes it appropriate for mounting either side of a mirror, above a mantelpiece, or on feature walls in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights. The fitting projects 290mm from the wall when mounted, so it needs clearance from door swings and high-traffic circulation routes.

The gold painted finish is applied over a metal armature and backplate, giving a warm metallic accent without the weight or cost of solid brass. The pleated cream shades are silk-effect fabric over a wire frame, diffusing the light from the E14 bulbs into a soft glow rather than a focused beam. The amber crystal drops are faceted glass, not acrylic, and add a small amount of reflected sparkle when the light is on. Dimmable with compatible E14 dimmable bulbs (sold separately).
