Description

The Sophia is an 81cm-diameter crystal chandelier with 17 E14 bulb fittings arranged across a three-tier polished chrome frame. Strands of faceted crystal beads drape between the upper chrome ring and the two lower tiers, while individual teardrop crystals hang from each tier in a cascading formation. The chrome rings provide structure and reflect light back through the crystals, multiplying the refractive effect when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for high-ceiling spaces such as two-storey entrance halls, stairwells and formal dining rooms, the Sophia requires a minimum 3-metre ceiling height to accommodate its 1580mm minimum drop. The maximum 3080mm drop allows the chandelier to be suspended well into double-height spaces without the lower tier sitting too close to head height. The 31.5kg weight demands a ceiling fixing rated for the load and a reinforced ceiling rose or joist-mounted bracket. The chandelier is supplied with adjustable chain, allowing the drop to be set during installation.

Each of the 17 bulbs can be dimmed using compatible E14 dimmable bulbs paired with a trailing-edge dimmer switch, allowing the chandelier to be used as both statement feature lighting when entertaining and lower-level ambient lighting for everyday use. The polished chrome finish catches and reflects both daylight and artificial light, so the chandelier remains visually active even when switched off. The crystal elements are individually hung on metal loops, making replacement straightforward if a single strand or droplet is damaged.
