Description

The Solari is a dual-function wall light combining a black fabric-shaded ambient light with an adjustable LED reading arm. The main fitting houses an E27 bulb behind a satin glass diffuser, while a separate curved arm extends below with an integrated 3000K LED reading light. Each light has its own switch, allowing the main ambient light and the task light to be controlled independently.

Designed for bedside installation, the Solari provides both ambient lighting for the room and directed task lighting for reading. The reading arm curves downward and can be positioned to direct light onto a book or tablet without disturbing a partner. The 320mm width and 225mm projection from the wall suit typical bedside wall mounting at 1.2-1.4m above mattress height. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments.

The black fabric shade diffuses light from the main E27 bulb (sold separately) into a soft glow, while the satin glass diffuser at the base of the shade prevents glare and hot spots. The matt black metalwork pairs with both contemporary and industrial bedroom schemes. The 2150mm internal cable length allows the fitting to be positioned without needing a junction box directly behind the wall plate, giving more flexibility on placement relative to ceiling roses and existing wiring.

What bulb does the main light take?

The main ambient light takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to match the 3000K reading light tone.

Can the reading light be switched off independently?

Yes. The Solari has two separate switches — one for the main E27 ambient light and one for the integrated LED reading arm. This allows you to use the reading light without turning on the main light, or vice versa.

Is the reading arm adjustable?

The reading arm is fixed in its curved position but can be aimed by rotating the fitting slightly on the wall plate during installation. The arm itself does not flex or bend once fitted.

What mounting height works best for bedside use?

For typical bedside installation, mount the fitting 1.2-1.4m above mattress height. This positions the reading light at a comfortable angle for seated reading and keeps the main shade at eye level when standing beside the bed.
