Description

The Sleepy is a modern table lamp built around a solid white marble column base and a glossy black domed shade in the mushroom silhouette. A small brass pivot connects the shade to the base, allowing the dome to tilt forward and direct light onto a reading surface or rotate back to wash light across a wall. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and ships with a 150cm cable.

Available in medium (26cm high, 28cm diameter shade) and large (37cm high, 40cm diameter shade), the Sleepy suits bedside tables, hallway consoles, sideboards and home-office desks. The medium fits comfortably on a standard 40cm-deep bedside table, while the large reads more as a sculptural lighting object on a console or sideboard. Tilting the dome down at close range gives focused task light; sitting it level produces softer ambient glow.

The marble base is cut from a single block, so each lamp shows different grey veining and tonal variation across the column. The shade is a glossy lacquered finish in black, with a brushed brass inner reflector that warms the light bouncing back down through the open underside. The combined weight of the marble plinth keeps the lamp stable when the shade is tilted forward at its full angle, without need for additional weighting.
