Description

The Siena is a 75cm 8-light chandelier with eight curved arms radiating from a central brass stem, each arm carrying an amber silk string shade over an E14 bulb fitting and terminating in an amber faceted crystal drop. The antique brass frame forms a symmetrical arrangement with four pairs of arms curving outward in opposing directions, giving the chandelier a balanced profile when viewed from below.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Siena provides ambient light through the amber shades while the crystal drops add decorative sparkle. The minimum drop of 600mm positions the chandelier 1500-1700mm above a dining table in standard-height rooms, with the rod adjustable to 780mm maximum drop where higher ceilings allow. The 75cm diameter suits tables of 1800-2400mm length and open-plan spaces of 20-30m².

Each amber shade is formed from gathered silk string with a white interior lining that reflects light back through the translucent outer layer, softening the output and casting warm tones across the room. The antique brass finish has a slightly aged patina rather than a high-polish shine, reducing glare and pairing comfortably with both traditional oak furniture and warmer contemporary interiors. The central brass sphere at the fitting cluster and the amber crystal pendalogues below each shade catch and refract ambient daylight when the chandelier is off, maintaining a decorative presence throughout the day.

The 4.1kg weight requires fixings rated for the full load, spreading the chandelier across a ceiling joist rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulbs does the Siena take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. We suggest fitting warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the amber shades. Clear filament-style bulbs work well where the bulb is visible through the shade.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require LED-rated trailing-edge dimmers to avoid flicker.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 600mm minimum drop suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above when hung over a dining table. Higher ceilings up to 3m can use the full 780mm drop. The chandelier can be shortened by cutting the suspension rod during installation if needed.

How is the antique brass finish maintained?

Wipe the brass frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. The antique finish is intentionally non-reflective and does not require polishing. Avoid chemical cleaners or metal polishes, which will alter the aged patina.
