Description

The Shell is a 46cm circular suspension light with six individual LED discs mounted on a gold-finished ring frame, each disc independently adjustable to direct light where needed. The integrated LEDs deliver a combined 30W output at 3000K warm white with 1590 lumens, spread across a 120-degree beam angle per disc. Each disc can be rotated and angled on its mount, allowing the light to be configured as downlight, wall wash, or a mix of both.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and bedroom ceiling positions, the Shell suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The adjustable drop ranges from 300mm minimum to 2000mm maximum, set during installation by shortening the suspension cables. At minimum drop the fitting sits close to the ceiling for lower rooms; at maximum it works over a 6-8 person dining table in a room with 3m+ ceilings. The ring diameter of 460mm gives coverage without dominating smaller spaces.

The gold finish on the ring and disc housings is a warm metallic tone that catches both natural daylight and the warm LED output from the discs themselves. The adjustable nature of each disc means the fitting can be reconfigured after installation without removing it from the ceiling — rotate individual discs to change the light pattern as furniture or usage changes. The six-disc configuration provides more flexibility than a fixed downlight while maintaining the clean circular form.

The Shell is not dimmable and operates on 220-240V mains. The integrated LEDs are rated for the life of the fitting and are not user-replaceable. The complete assembly weighs 1.87kg and is suspended on steel cables that run through the ceiling canopy to a standard UK ceiling rose.
