Description

The Sangamo Q557 is a 24-hour programmable time switch with three independent on/off cycles, a day omit dial for skipping scheduled operations on specific days, and a manual override button for temporary control. The unit is rated at 20A on 230V mains and uses a quartz clock mechanism housed in a clear polycarbonate case with red and white dial graphics.

Designed for commercial heating, lighting and ventilation control where different schedules are needed across the week, the Q557 allows each of the three on/off cycles to be set to different times and then selectively omitted on chosen days using the outer day omit ring. The manual override button temporarily switches the load on or off without reprogramming the stored cycles, making it suitable for buildings where occasional manual intervention is needed outside the automatic schedule.

The 100-hour battery reserve maintains the programmed schedule and clock time through power cuts, so the timer resumes operation at the correct time when mains power returns. The unit mounts on standard DIN rail or onto a backplate in consumer units and distribution boards. The clear case allows visual confirmation of the current time position and programmed settings without opening the enclosure.
