What loads can the E855 switch?

The 20A rating handles resistive loads up to 4,600W on 230V mains, covering most domestic immersion heaters, storage heaters and lighting circuits. For inductive or motor loads the effective rating is lower and may require a contactor for safe switching.

How is the programme retained during power cuts?

The 20-day battery reserve maintains the programme and clock during mains interruptions. The battery charges automatically when mains power is present and does not require user replacement under normal operating conditions.

Can each day have a different schedule?

Yes. Each of the seven days can be programmed independently with its own on and off times, allowing weekend and weekday schedules to differ. This contrasts with older mechanical timers which repeat the same pattern daily.

What is holiday mode?

Holiday mode suspends automatic switching while retaining the stored programme. The timer remains off until holiday mode is deactivated, preventing unnecessary heating or lighting operation when a property is unoccupied for extended periods.
