Description

The Sangamo Choice Plus is a wired electronic room thermostat with a large rotary dial marked from 5°C to 30°C, an electronic temperature sensor and TPI (Time Proportional and Integral) control for improved heating efficiency. A blue LED indicator at the top of the faceplate shows when the thermostat is calling for heat from the boiler.

Designed for hardwired installation in residential central heating systems, the thermostat controls gas, oil and electric boilers via a 10A 240V switch output. The 86mm x 86mm black faceplate mounts on a standard UK single-gang 25mm back box. TPI control cycles the boiler on and off in shorter intervals as the room approaches the target temperature, reducing overshoot and maintaining more stable room temperatures than simple on/off thermostats.

The rotary dial provides tactile feedback when adjusting the set temperature, with numbered markings at 5°C intervals across the range. Temperature swing can be adjusted to either 0.5°C or 1°C depending on how tightly you want the thermostat to maintain the target temperature. The black finish pairs with modern switch and socket ranges in matt black, anthracite and similar dark tones.
