Description
The Sangamo Choice Plus is a 2-channel digital programmer with a backlit LCD display, supporting 24-hour, 5/2-day or 7-day scheduling. Each channel can be programmed with up to three on/off periods per day, controlling heating and hot water circuits independently on a 2A switch rating at 240V AC. The unit arrives with a pre-programmed schedule active from installation, ready for immediate use in pumped central heating systems.
Designed for wall mounting in domestic and light commercial settings, the programmer replaces mechanical timers and basic digital timers that lack flexible scheduling. The boost function adds 1, 2 or 3 hours of heating or hot water outside the programmed schedule without affecting the saved timetable. Holiday mode suspends the programmed schedule for a set number of days, preventing unnecessary heating while the property is unoccupied. The automatic summer/winter time change adjusts the clock twice per year without manual intervention.
The unit measures 148 x 90 x 42mm and weighs 310g, fitting a standard back box or surface-mounting bracket. The backlit display shows the current time, active channels, and programming status, remaining visible in low light. The service interval function can be enabled to prompt for boiler servicing at 12-month intervals. Four physical buttons below the screen handle all programming, boost activation and mode selection without needing menu navigation beyond the primary functions shown on-screen.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between 24-hour, 5/2-day and 7-day programming?
24-hour mode repeats the same schedule every day. 5/2-day mode uses one schedule for Monday-Friday and a different schedule for Saturday-Sunday. 7-day mode allows a unique schedule for each day of the week.
How does the boost function work?
The boost function manually activates heating or hot water for 1, 2 or 3 hours outside the programmed schedule. The saved timetable remains unchanged, and the system returns to automatic control when the boost period ends.
What does holiday mode do?
Holiday mode suspends the programmed schedule for a set number of days. Heating and hot water remain off during the holiday period unless manually overridden. The programmer resumes the saved schedule automatically when the holiday period expires.
Is the programmer compatible with combi boilers?
The programmer is rated for pumped central heating systems with separate heating and hot water circuits. Combi boilers typically heat water on demand and may not require a 2-channel programmer. Check the boiler manual or consult an installer to confirm compatibility with your specific system.
