Sangamo Choice Plus 1 Channel Digital Programmer - Black

The Sangamo Choice Plus is a 1-channel digital programmer with a backlit LCD screen and three programming modes: 24-hour, 5/2-day (weekday/weekend), or full 7-day scheduling. Each day accommodates up to three ON/OFF periods, allowing independent control of heating or hot water circuits in pumped central heating systems. The 2A switch rating at 240V AC handles standard zone valves, motorised valves and circulator pumps.

Designed for wall mounting in residential and light commercial heating systems, the programmer replaces mechanical timers with programmable control. The boost function adds 1, 2 or 3 hours of operation outside the set schedule, while the holiday mode overrides normal programming during periods away from the property. A pre-programmed schedule is loaded at the factory, so the unit can operate immediately on installation or be customised to match specific heating patterns.

The backlit blue LCD remains visible in low light and displays the current time, active programming day, and ON/OFF status. Physical ADV and +HR buttons below the screen allow manual override without needing to navigate menus. The automatic summer/winter time-change function adjusts the clock twice a year, while the service interval reminder can be enabled to prompt boiler maintenance at user-defined intervals. The black ABS housing measures 148mm wide, 90mm high and 42mm deep, fitting a standard back box or surface-mounting plate.

What's the difference between 24-hour, 5/2-day and 7-day programming?

24-hour mode repeats the same schedule every day. 5/2-day mode allows different schedules for weekdays and weekends. 7-day mode provides independent programming for each day of the week, giving maximum flexibility for irregular routines.

How many ON/OFF periods can be set per day?

Up to three ON/OFF periods per day, depending on the programming mode selected. This allows morning warm-up, daytime top-up, and evening heating cycles to be scheduled independently.

What does the boost function do?
