Description
The Sangamo 72213NFC is a 2-channel 7-day programmable timer switch designed for DIN rail installation in consumer units and distribution boards. Each channel controls a 16A volt-free changeover contact, allowing independent scheduling of two circuits — common applications include heating controls, lighting schedules, pump timers and commercial building automation. Programming happens via the four front-panel buttons or wirelessly through any Android phone with NFC capability.
Mounted on standard 35mm DIN rail and occupying two module widths (36mm), the timer fits most UK consumer units alongside circuit breakers and RCDs. The LCD display shows current time, active channel status and programmed event sequences. Each of the two channels can store up to 56 separate on/off events across a repeating weekly schedule, giving enough memory for complex multi-zone heating patterns or staggered lighting schedules in commercial premises.
NFC programming eliminates the need to work through button sequences at the consumer unit — an Android phone running the Sangamo app can read the current schedule, edit it offline, and write the updated programme back to the timer in seconds. The 10-year lithium battery reserve maintains programmed schedules and real-time clock accuracy during mains interruptions without requiring annual battery changes. The volt-free changeover contacts switch loads up to 16A at 250V AC and can interface with BMS systems, contactor coils or direct resistive/inductive loads.

What is the difference between the two channels?
Each channel controls an independent 16A volt-free changeover contact with its own separate schedule. Channel 1 and Channel 2 operate completely independently, so you can run different daily or weekly programmes on each output. This allows control of two separate circuits from a single timer module.
Does NFC programming require an app?
Yes. The Sangamo app for Android phones with NFC reads the current schedule from the timer, allows offline editing, and writes the updated programme back. The timer can also be programmed manually using the four front-panel buttons without NFC.
How many on/off events can be stored?
56 memory locations total across both channels. Each location stores one on or off event, so typical usage might be 28 on/off pairs distributed across a weekly schedule. Events can be set to repeat daily or on specific weekdays.
What happens during a power cut?
The 10-year lithium battery reserve maintains the real-time clock and all programmed schedules during mains interruptions. When power is restored, the timer resumes operation with the correct time and schedule intact.
