Description

The Sangamo FS 64.18 is a 24-hour analogue panel timer with a voltage-free 16A changeover contact, 100-hour battery reserve, and 15-minute programming segments marked by captive red tabs around the dial. The timer operates on 230V 50-60Hz mains and uses a clock-face interface where pushing in or pulling out the red segments sets on/off periods throughout a 24-hour cycle.

Designed for commercial and residential installations controlling heating circuits, lighting zones, pumps, ventilation fans and other timed electrical loads, the timer fits surface mounting, panel cutouts, or standard 35mm DIN rail. The voltage-free contact means the switching circuit is isolated from the mains supply, allowing the timer to control low-voltage circuits, mains circuits, or both simultaneously depending on wiring configuration. Manual override via the front-panel switch forces the contact on or off while automatically returning to programmed operation when released.

The 97mm x 80mm x 62mm white housing sits flush when panel-mounted or projects approximately 62mm from the DIN rail or surface. The analogue dial provides visual confirmation of the current time and programmed segments at a glance, with a contact status indicator showing whether the output is currently energised. The 100-hour battery reserve maintains timekeeping and programmed settings during mains power failures, eliminating the need to reprogram after outages.

Frequently Asked

How is the timer programmed?

The dial features 96 red captive segments around its edge, each representing 15 minutes. Push segments in to set on-periods, pull them out to set off-periods. The clock runs continuously and the contact switches according to the position of the segments as the dial rotates.

What does voltage-free contact mean?

The 16A changeover contact is isolated from the mains supply powering the timer itself. This allows the timer to switch low-voltage circuits, 230V circuits, or both, depending on your wiring. It also provides safety separation when controlling sensitive equipment.

What happens during a power cut?

The 100-hour battery reserve keeps the clock running and maintains all programmed settings during mains failures. When power returns, the timer continues from the correct time without needing reprogramming.

What mounting options are available?

The timer can be surface-mounted to a wall or enclosure, fitted into a panel cutout, or clipped onto standard 35mm DIN rail inside a consumer unit or distribution board.
