Description

The Sal is a 6-light linear suspension spotlight with six independently-adjustable cylindrical heads mounted on a 1010mm matt black bar. Each head takes a GU10 bulb (sold separately) and pivots on its mount, allowing the light to be directed at walls, worktops, dining surfaces or artwork depending on where the fitting is positioned.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and workbenches where directed task light is needed, the Sal hangs from two cables attached to a rectangular black canopy. The drop is adjustable between 1000mm and 1500mm on installation, allowing the bar to sit 700-900mm above a worktop or dining table depending on ceiling height. The six GU10 heads are spaced evenly along the 1010mm length, giving broad coverage across a 2-2.5m island or table.

The matt black finish on the aluminium bar and spotlight heads minimises reflections and pairs with both industrial and contemporary interiors. Each cylindrical head measures approximately 160mm deep, housing the GU10 socket at the base of the cylinder behind a frosted or clear lens depending on the bulb fitted. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing output to be adjusted from full task brightness to lower ambient levels for evening dining.

The Sal is part of Mantra's architectural lighting collection and carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty. The fitting weighs 2kg and requires secure ceiling fixing capable of supporting dynamic loads — the suspension cables are not designed to bear lateral forces from manual adjustment of the spotlight heads once installed.
