Description

The Sahara is a 420mm LED table lamp built around two twisted polycarbonate ribbons that spiral from a circular brown oxide base to a matching top plate. The 6W integrated LED strip runs down the centre of the twisted form, casting 2800K warm white light through the white polycarbonate and onto the brown oxide surfaces, creating shadow and reflection patterns that change depending on viewing angle.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables next to sofas, and console surfaces in hallways or bedrooms, the Sahara provides ambient rather than task light. The 420 lumens output and 120° beam angle diffuse the light across a room without creating a focused reading spot, making it better suited to background illumination or mood lighting in relaxed spaces. The 150mm diameter footprint keeps it compact on smaller surfaces.

The brown oxide finish is a textured powder coat with a slight granular surface that reduces fingerprints and gives the metal a warmer appearance than matt black. The polycarbonate ribbons flex slightly under handling but are impact-resistant and do not yellow over the LED lifespan. The twisted geometry means the lamp looks different from each side. Rotate it to change the interplay of lit and shadowed surfaces. At 0.96kg the lamp sits stable on most surfaces without needing additional weighting.

Running on 220-240V at 50/60Hz, the fixed LED cannot be dimmed, so brightness stays at a constant 420 lumens. The 2800K warm white tone gives a cosy cast that suits evening use rather than close task work. A 3 year warranty covers the integrated LED across its service life, with no bulb changes needed at any point.

No. The integrated 6W LED runs at fixed output on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

Is it bright enough for reading?

The 420 lumens output and 120° beam angle provide ambient light rather than focused task light. For bedside reading you may need a separate adjustable reading lamp or wall-mounted spotlight in addition to the Sahara.

How is the polycarbonate cleaned?

Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water and dry immediately. Avoid household sprays, polishes or solvents which can cloud or damage polycarbonate over time.
