Description
The Rosa is an 82cm-diameter telescopic chandelier with eight G9 lamp fittings mounted on spiralling satin nickel arms that curve outward from an adjustable central stem. Each arm terminates in a frosted-clear glass shade that layers translucent and clear glass zones, creating depth as light passes through multiple surfaces. The central stem telescopes between 490mm and 770mm drop, allowing the chandelier to be set higher or lower depending on ceiling height and room scale.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights above 2.6m, the Rosa functions as both ambient and decorative lighting. The spiralling arm configuration spreads the eight light sources across the full 82cm span, distributing light evenly beneath the fitting. The satin nickel finish reduces reflective glare compared to polished chrome while retaining a metallic accent that pairs with cooler-toned interiors, greys and contemporary neutral palettes.
The chandelier accommodates dimmable G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately) up to 40W per socket, with a maximum combined load of 320W across all eight fittings. Most installations use 3-5W LED G9 capsules at 2700K-3000K for residential use, bringing the actual power draw to 24-40W while maintaining enough output for a primary room light. The 5.2kg weight requires a ceiling mounting capable of supporting at least 8kg, and the fitting includes a ceiling rose that conceals the cable entry and houses the chain attachment point.
The frosted-clear glass shades are Mantra's signature layered-glass design, where the inner frosted layer diffuses direct lamp glare and the outer clear layer adds refraction and visual interest when the chandelier is unlit. The satin nickel finish is applied to steel tubing and canopy components, providing corrosion resistance and a uniform surface across all metalwork.

Frequently Asked
What G9 bulbs are recommended?
The Rosa takes eight G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users install 3-5W LED G9 capsules at 2700K-3000K warm white. Dimmable G9 LEDs are required if pairing with a dimmer switch. Avoid halogen G9 capsules unless ventilation and heat tolerance are verified — LED capsules run cooler and use significantly less energy.
What ceiling height is needed?
The telescopic drop adjusts between 490mm and 770mm, so the chandelier suits ceiling heights from 2.6m upward. For dining table installation, the bottom of the chandelier typically sits 750-850mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.7-3m ceilings when the drop is set toward the minimum. Higher ceilings can extend the drop for greater visual presence.
Is the drop adjustable after installation?
The telescopic stem is set during installation by extending or retracting the inner tube before locking. Once installed and the cable length is fixed, adjusting the drop requires partial disassembly and re-terminating the cable at a different length. It is best to measure and set the desired drop during the initial fitting.
Can the arms be rotated?
The spiralling arms are fixed in their radial positions and cannot be rotated independently. The arm configuration is set by the manufacturer to distribute the eight lights evenly across the 82cm diameter.
