Description
The Roller is a 9.6cm diameter pendant light built around an integrated 12W LED that delivers 450 lumens of 3000K warm white light through a polished black chrome sphere. The sphere houses a downward-facing LED with a 34° beam angle, creating a focused cone of light rather than diffused ambient glow. A matt black cylindrical canopy at ceiling level and a slender central stem connecting sphere to canopy complete the fitting.
Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and dining tables where task-focused downlighting is needed, the Roller works in singles over narrow surfaces or in multiples spaced 40-60cm apart over wider islands. The adjustable cable drop ranges from 260mm minimum to 2100mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set 60-80cm above a worktop depending on ceiling height. The 34° beam angle concentrates light onto a work surface rather than spreading it across a room, so the Roller pairs well with separate ambient lighting in kitchens and dining spaces.
The polished black chrome finish on the sphere provides a mirror-reflective surface that catches and reflects surrounding light when the pendant is off, and the matt black canopy and stem create contrast without competing for visual attention. The 96mm sphere diameter and 0.6kg weight give the pendant a compact presence suited to contemporary and minimalist interiors. The LED is non-dimmable and integrated into the unit, so the fitting cannot accommodate bulb replacement.
The single downward LED means one Roller lights a defined spot, so pairing several along a run keeps the 40 to 60cm spacing needed for even coverage.

Frequently Asked
Is the Roller dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and cannot be paired with dimmer switches. The output is fixed at 450 lumens and 3000K.
What does the 34° beam angle mean in practice?
The 34° beam creates a focused cone of light onto the surface directly below the pendant rather than spreading light evenly across a room. This makes the Roller suited to task lighting over worktops, breakfast bars and dining tables where concentrated downlight is needed. It does not provide ambient room lighting on its own.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED lifespan is rated at approximately 25,000 hours under typical domestic use, which equates to around 10-15 years at 5 hours per day.
How many Rollers are needed for a kitchen island?
This depends on island length. A typical 1.8-2m island uses three Rollers spaced 50-60cm apart, positioned 70-80cm above the worktop. Narrower islands or breakfast bars may need only one or two. The 450lm output and 34° beam angle concentrate light in a relatively small area, so spacing closer than 60cm starts to create overlapping pools of light.
