Description

The Roller is a 77mm diameter pendant light from Mantra's LED collection, combining a brushed gold spherical shade with a matt black cylindrical ceiling canopy. An integrated 12W LED inside the gold sphere delivers 1000 lumens at 3000K warm white with a 50° beam angle, directing light downwards through the open aperture at the base of the sphere while reflecting off the gold interior to create a soft ambient wash around the fitting.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining table task lighting and commercial bar counters, the Roller works as a single statement piece or in linear runs of two, three or more pendants spaced 600-900mm apart. The 2000mm maximum drop is adjustable during installation, with a 190mm minimum drop for lower ceilings. The compact 77mm diameter suits narrow counters and smaller tables without overwhelming the space, while the 1000-lumen output provides sufficient task light for food prep, dining and working surfaces.

The brushed gold finish on the spherical shade creates a warm metallic accent against the matt black canopy, with the gold interior reflecting and amplifying the LED light output. The shade appears as a solid gold orb when viewed from above or the side, with the open bottom aperture revealing the white diffuser that softens the LED source. At 1kg total weight the pendant hangs securely from standard UK ceiling roses without additional ceiling reinforcement.

No. The integrated LED runs on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The 12W output at 3000K and 1000 lumens is fixed.

What drop height works for a kitchen island?

For kitchen island or breakfast bar task lighting, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the worktop surface. With the 2000mm maximum drop this works in rooms with ceiling heights up to 3m. The cable can be shortened during installation to suit lower ceilings.

Can multiple Roller pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The compact 77mm diameter suits linear arrangements of two, three or more pendants spaced 600-900mm apart along a kitchen island, dining table or bar counter. Each pendant requires a separate ceiling rose and electrical connection.

What ceiling height is required?

The 190mm minimum drop suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung as ambient lighting. For task lighting above a worktop or table, ceiling heights of 2.5m or above work better to maintain comfortable headroom beneath the pendant.
