Description

The Rhea is a 2-light wall fitting with curved polished chrome arms that branch outward from a circular chrome backplate, each arm holding a cylindrical clear glass shade and a faceted crystal drop suspended below. The two E14 bulbs (sold separately, up to 40W each) sit inside the glass cylinders, with the light diffusing through the clear glass and refracting through the cut crystal below.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living room alcoves and dining room side walls where additional decorative lighting is needed without dominating the space, the Rhea pairs well with matching or complementary crystal pendants to create a coordinated scheme across a room. The 150mm projection from the wall and 300mm height suit standard ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, with the fitting positioned 1.6-1.8m from floor level for comfortable eye height when seated.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and maintains a high shine under regular dusting, while the cut crystal drops are faceted to catch both natural daylight and artificial light from other fittings in the room. The clear glass shades measure approximately 100mm tall and are open at both top and bottom, allowing heat from the bulbs to escape naturally. At 1.05kg fitted weight, the Rhea requires a secure wall fixing into masonry or into a stud if mounting on plasterboard.

What bulbs does it take?

The Rhea takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED E14 candles between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and connect the wall light to a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming, but standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker if used with a dimmer.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The circular chrome backplate fixes to the wall with screws into masonry plugs or wall anchors. At 1.05kg fitted weight, the Rhea requires a secure fixing — if mounting on plasterboard, ensure the screws go into a stud or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for the weight.

How are the crystal drops cleaned?

Switch off and allow the fitting to cool. Remove dust from the chrome and glass with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal drops, wipe gently with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water spots. Do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystal.
