Description

The ESP DBG3 is a deep junction base for Rekor IP dome cameras, built from grey powder-coated aluminium with a 140mm diameter footprint and 70mm depth. The base provides a 25mm cable entry point that conceals cable runs behind the camera dome, allowing cleaner external installations on walls, soffits and eaves where surface-mounted conduit would otherwise be visible.

Designed specifically for the ESP RC228FDG 2MP dome camera, the DBG3 raises the camera body 70mm from the mounting surface, giving clearance for cable connections and junction boxes behind the dome. On external installations this depth allows the base to sit over a weatherproof back box or to accept cable entries through the wall without the dome housing interfering with the mounting surface. The base is also compatible with other Rekor IP dome models in the ESP range that share the same mounting footprint.

The aluminium construction resists corrosion in outdoor environments better than plastic alternatives, and the grey powder-coat finish matches standard external camera housings. At 140mm square footprint and 241g net weight, the base adds minimal visual bulk to the camera installation while providing the structural depth needed for professional cable management. The 25mm cable entry accepts standard IP-rated glands and conduit fittings.

The base has a 25mm cable entry point that accepts standard IP-rated cable glands and conduit fittings. This size is suitable for running Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable plus a separate power cable through a single entry.

Can this be used for indoor installations?

Yes. While the aluminium construction is built for outdoor durability, the DBG3 can be used indoors wherever 70mm of additional depth is needed to conceal cabling behind a dome camera, such as installations over junction boxes or false ceilings.

Does the grey finish match ESP dome cameras?

The grey powder-coat finish is designed to match standard ESP Rekor IP dome housings. Minor tonal variation may exist between different production batches, but the base and camera will present as a cohesive unit when installed.
