Description

The Sangamo Powersaver Plus is a boost controller with an integrated 13A fused spur, providing timed override control for heating circuits, immersion heaters and underfloor heating zones. Three timer presets (30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours) allow temporary manual override of a programmable thermostat or time switch, with LED indicators showing which duration is active.

Designed for installation in residential and light commercial settings where heating circuits need occasional manual boost without reprogramming the main control system, the unit switches up to 13A at 240V AC and includes a replaceable BS1362 13A fuse for circuit protection. The controller mounts in a single-gang position either surface-mounted using the included back box or flush-mounted into a standard 25mm back box.

The matt black faceplate measures 90mm x 90mm with a low-profile rocker switch and clear LED timing display. The fused spur isolates the connected circuit when switched off, making the unit suitable for controlling high-draw loads like 3kW immersion heaters where isolation is needed for maintenance. The surface-mount back box included in the package simplifies retrofitting to solid walls without chasing.

What heating systems is this boost controller suitable for?

The Powersaver Plus controls any heating circuit drawing up to 13A at 240V AC, including immersion heaters, underfloor heating zones, radiator circuits controlled by zone valves, and storage heaters. It provides timed override without interfering with the main programmable thermostat settings.

Can it be flush-mounted into a wall?

Yes. The unit fits a standard single-gang 25mm minimum depth back box for flush mounting. A surface-mount back box is also included in the package for retrofitting to solid walls where chasing is not practical.

How does the boost timer work?

Press the rocker switch once to activate a 30-minute boost, twice for 1 hour, or three times for 2 hours. The corresponding LED illuminates to show which duration is active. The circuit switches off automatically when the timer expires.

Is the fuse replaceable?

Yes. The unit is supplied with a BS1362 13A fuse which can be replaced if it blows due to overcurrent or a fault on the connected circuit. The fuse is accessed by removing the faceplate.
