Description
The Pietra is an 8-light semi-flush chandelier with four curved polished chrome arms extending from a central rod, each arm splitting to hold two frosted and clear glass shades shaped like tulip petals. The fitting mounts close to the ceiling via a 400mm drop rod and polished chrome canopy, making it suitable for rooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m where a full-drop chandelier would hang too low.
Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedroom lighting where ambient illumination is needed across a wide area, the 800mm arm span distributes light evenly without creating a single central hotspot. Each of the eight G9 sockets takes a capsule bulb up to 40W (sold separately), and the fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer switch. The combination of frosted and clear glass diffuses light while allowing some direct sparkle from the bulb filaments or LED chips.
The polished chrome finish on the arms, rod and canopy provides a high-reflectivity surface that catches and redirects ambient daylight during the day and multiplies the effect of the bulbs when lit. The four-arm radial symmetry and the petal-shaped shades give the fitting a floral silhouette that softens the metallic frame. At 5.6kg the chandelier requires a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point capable of supporting its weight plus a safety margin.
The 320W maximum spreads across eight sockets, so each frosted shade carries a modest share and the frame stays cool enough for close-to-ceiling mounting. Dimmable G9 bulbs paired with a dimmer adjust the whole array together.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Pietra take?
The chandelier takes eight G9 capsule bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. The fitting is compatible with dimmable G9 LEDs when used with a suitable dimmer.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 400mm drop rod plus the fitting height means the lowest point of the glass shades will sit approximately 550-600mm below the ceiling. This works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings, leaving around 1.8m clearance below the fitting. The rod is not adjustable on this model.
Is the polished chrome finish prone to fingerprints?
Yes. Polished chrome shows fingerprints and smudges more readily than brushed or satin finishes. Handle the arms by the bases during installation and wipe with a microfibre cloth if marks appear.
Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?
The Pietra is designed for horizontal ceilings. Fitting to a sloped ceiling would require a specialist angled ceiling rose or canopy, which is not supplied with this product.
