The Pietra is an 8 light chandelier built on four curved arms radiating from a central antique brass stem, each arm terminating in two frosted glass shades shaped like tulip blossoms. The chandelier takes eight G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately), with each bulb housed inside a frosted glass shade that softens the light output and reduces glare.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the 800mm arm span covers typical dining tables for four to six people without overwhelming smaller rooms. The four-arm configuration distributes light evenly across the space below while the frosted glass prevents harsh shadows. The antique brass finish shows brushed texture and subtle tonal variation that pairs with both traditional wood furniture and warmer contemporary interiors.

The chandelier weighs 5.6kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced rose. The antique brass metalwork uses a lacquered finish that resists tarnishing but may develop patina over time in high-humidity environments. Each glass shade sits upright on its stem, so bulb replacement requires unscrewing the shade holder rather than lifting glass downwards. Is the Pietra dimmable?

Yes, if you use dimmable G9 bulbs. The chandelier itself is dimmer-compatible, but you must pair it with bulbs rated for dimming and a compatible dimmer switch. Check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 400mm drop from the ceiling rose to the bottom of the shades works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining tables, the chandelier typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height and personal preference.
