Description
The Pietra is a 70cm semi-flush chandelier with six frosted glass shades shaped like flower petals, each holding a G9 bulb (sold separately), arranged on three curved antique brass arms radiating from a central ceiling plate. The shallow 400mm drop suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m where a traditional pendant would hang too low, making this a practical choice for dining rooms, wide hallways and bedrooms in period conversions and new builds with standard ceiling heights.
Each glass shade combines frosted and clear sections, with the frosted portion diffusing the G9 bulb light and the clear edge allowing some direct sparkle through. The antique brass arms curve outward and upward from the centre, giving the fitting an organic branching shape rather than a symmetrical circular silhouette. The combined weight of 4.1kg provides stability once fixed to a ceiling joist or suitable fixing point via the central backplate.
The antique brass finish has a matt patina that reduces reflections compared to polished brass, suiting both traditional interiors with oak or walnut furniture and transitional schemes mixing contemporary greys with warmer metallic accents. The fitting accepts dimmable G9 lamps if paired with a compatible dimmer on the lighting circuit, allowing output to be adjusted between full 240W (40W per bulb across six positions) and a lower evening level. The 70cm span works in dining rooms with tables up to 1.8m long and bedrooms with king or super-king beds without overhanging.
The G9 sockets accept dimmable capsule bulbs, letting the six petal shades drop from full output to a softer evening glow.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with bulbs?
No. The Pietra requires six G9 bulbs (sold separately). We suggest pairing this with G9 LED bulbs between 3W and 5W in warm white (2700K-3000K). The fitting supports up to 40W per socket if using halogen G9 bulbs, but LED equivalents provide the same light output at much lower wattage.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 400mm drop from ceiling to lowest point of the shades suits ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.7m. In a dining room, this typically allows 2m of clear headroom above the table surface, which is comfortable. Rooms with ceilings above 2.7m can still use the Pietra, though it may appear visually closer to the ceiling than intended.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, if dimmable G9 lamps are fitted and the lighting circuit is controlled by a compatible dimmer. Not all G9 LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.
How is the antique brass finish maintained?
Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. The antique brass has a matt patina that does not require polishing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal polishes, which would strip the aged finish and return the brass to a polished state.
