Description

The Pescara is a single-light crystal wall sconce finished in black chrome, with a curved arm that supports a central bulb socket surrounded by 30% lead Asfour crystal balls and cone-shaped crystal prisms. The black chrome metalwork provides high-contrast framing against the faceted crystal, which catches and refracts light across the surrounding wall and ceiling when the bulb is lit.

Designed for hallways, living room alcoves, bedrooms and staircases where decorative accent lighting is needed, the Pescara projects 240mm from the wall and provides both direct light from the exposed E14 bulb and refracted sparkle from the crystal elements. The sconce works as a single accent or in pairs flanking doorways, mirrors or artworks. The 140mm width and 260mm height suit standard ceiling heights of 2.4m and above without overwhelming narrow hallways.

The black chrome finish uses a multi-layer plating process that produces a deeper, darker tone than standard chrome while retaining metallic reflectivity. This allows the crystals to stand out visually without being washed out by bright metalwork. The Asfour crystal is machine-cut with faceted surfaces that catch light from multiple angles, and the crystal prisms are held on brass pins that extend from the main body. The Pescara takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to show the crystal at its best without harsh glare.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself is passive, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer pairing.

Can the crystals be removed for cleaning?

The crystal prisms and balls are held on brass pins and can be carefully removed for dusting or washing in warm soapy water. Allow them to dry completely before re-hanging to avoid water spots.

What wall fixing is needed?

The sconce weighs 0.7kg and projects 240mm from the wall. Fix into masonry with wall plugs and screws, or into a stud wall using wood screws into a stud. Plasterboard-only fixings are not recommended due to the leverage created by the projection distance.
