Description

The Pasion is a 1100mm suspension light with six E27 bulbs arranged inside a curved gloss white fiberglass and acrylic shell, suspended from a polished chrome rectangular canopy on twin steel cables. The white upper surface curves into an opal acrylic underside that diffuses light from the six bulbs across a dining table or kitchen island below.

Designed for spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Pasion works over dining tables measuring 1600-2200mm in length, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where linear rather than round pendant lighting suits the furniture layout. The adjustable drop between 300mm and 1500mm allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height. The six E27 sockets accept LED, halogen or CFL bulbs (CFLs included with the fitting) up to 15W per socket.

The gloss white finish on the upper shell provides a reflective surface that bounces ceiling light back down during the day, while the polished chrome frame and fixings pair the pendant with modern chrome taps, handles and switches. The curved profile measures just 160mm deep front-to-back, so the pendant reads as a horizontal line rather than a bulky volume when viewed from the side. At 4.9kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced ceiling rose.

Is the Pasion dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E27 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The included CFL bulbs are typically not dimmable, so most users replace them with dimmable LED bulbs if dimming control is needed.

What table length does it suit?

The 1100mm width suits dining tables between 1600mm and 2200mm in length. For shorter tables the pendant may overhang too far at each end; for longer tables a second pendant or a different style may be more proportionate.

How is the drop adjusted?

The twin steel suspension cables are adjustable during installation between 300mm and 1500mm. Once set, the drop is fixed unless the cables are re-adjusted by shortening or lengthening the cable run through the ceiling canopy.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The rectangular chrome canopy is designed for flat ceilings. Fitting to a sloped ceiling would require the cables to be adjusted to different lengths to keep the pendant level, which may not be possible depending on the canopy design.
