Parkman Large Globe Pendant Light - Polished Nickel

The Parkman is a 305mm opal glass globe pendant suspended on a polished nickel chain from a matching polished nickel canopy. The pendant combines a spherical white glass diffuser with turned metal detailing at the top and bottom of the globe, creating a clean period-influenced form scaled for modern ceiling heights. A single E27 bulb inside the globe (sold separately) diffuses through the opal glass to provide ambient light.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Parkman works as a single pendant centred over a table or in multiples along an island. The 1524mm chain length is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be set between 645mm minimum and 2169mm maximum depending on the ceiling height and the surface below. The polished nickel finish reflects ambient light without the mirror-bright sharpness of chrome, sitting comfortably in both traditional and contemporary settings.

The 305mm globe gives the pendant enough visual weight to anchor a 4-6 seater dining table or a 2-2.5m kitchen island section as a single fitting. Multiple Parkman pendants installed at different heights or staggered along a longer island create layered lighting without the formality of a traditional chandelier. The opal glass hides the bulb shape while still allowing the filament or LED element to show faintly when viewed at an angle, giving the pendant a soft decorative glow even when switched off in daylight.

What bulb does the Parkman take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or entrance hall lighting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1524mm chain length is adjustable on installation to achieve a minimum drop of 645mm or a maximum of 2169mm. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above.

Can multiple Parkman pendants be installed together?

Yes. The Parkman is commonly installed in groups of two or three along a kitchen island or at staggered heights in a double-height entrance hall. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and wiring point.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

Wipe the glass globe with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulb is off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with warm water and washing-up liquid is acceptable. Dry immediately to avoid watermarks on the polished nickel detailing.
