An exposed E27 bulb sits inside the cage (sold separately), with the open mesh allowing direct light to spread laterally while casting mesh-pattern shadows onto nearby walls and ceilings. The cage itself is formed from fine woven wire mesh wrapped around a metal frame, giving an industrial workshop aesthetic without the visual weight of solid metal shades.

Designed for kitchens, dining bars, home offices and loft-style living spaces, the Parker suits installations over counters, dining tables and desks where directed downlight is needed without blocking sightlines. The drop is adjustable between 470mm and 1230mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set higher in rooms with lower ceilings or dropped lower over a specific surface. The brushed nickel bands contrast with the darker weathered zinc finish, giving the fitting a two-tone appearance that pairs well with mixed-metal interiors and exposed brick or concrete surfaces.

The weathered zinc finish has a matte, slightly textured surface that resists showing fingerprints and dust compared to polished metal finishes. The mesh cage measures 150mm in diameter and approximately 180mm in height, making it compact enough for smaller kitchen islands and breakfast bars without overwhelming the space. At 1.36kg the pendant has enough mass to hang steadily on the flex without needing additional bracing, and the E27 socket accepts any standard bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose filament-style LED bulbs for decorative effect or standard LED for functional task light.

What bulb does it take?

The Parker takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Many users pair this with a vintage-style filament LED or a clear globe LED to suit the industrial aesthetic of the mesh cage.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but both the bulb and the dimmer must be rated for the specific bulb type you choose (LED, halogen, or filament).

What drop height works best over a kitchen island?

For a kitchen island or breakfast bar, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the worktop surface. With the adjustable 470-1230mm drop range, this works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. Lower ceilings can shorten the drop during installation.

How is the mesh cage cleaned?

The weathered zinc mesh can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the mesh or using chemical cleaners that could alter the weathered finish.
