Pandora 1 Light Glass Pendant - Polished Chrome with Mirror Shade

The Pandora is an 18cm diameter glass pendant with a polished chrome canopy and cable suspension, housing a rounded glass shade finished in a reflective mirror coating. When the light is off, the chrome-mirrored exterior appears as a solid metallic sphere. When lit, the internal frosted white glass diffuser becomes visible through the mirror coating, revealing a cluster of suspended crystal-cut glass droplets inside the shade that refract light from a single E14 bulb.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Pandora works as a single statement piece or in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart over longer surfaces. The 1750mm maximum drop is adjustable during fitting, allowing the pendant to be set 700-800mm above a worktop or table depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable suspension is field-adjustable without tools.

The mirror-finish glass shade creates different visual effects depending on ambient light conditions and viewing angle. Under daylight or when viewed from the side, the mirrored exterior reflects the surrounding room; when lit from below by the E14 bulb, the interior frosted white diffuser and crystal droplets become visible through the coating. The 180mm diameter and 0.8kg weight make the Pandora suitable for standard plasterboard ceilings without additional support. The polished chrome finish pairs with both warm and cool contemporary interiors.

What bulb does the Pandora take?

The pendant takes one E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a warm white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the mirror and crystal detailing.

Is the Pandora dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E14 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself is passive — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer module installed at the wall switch.

How does the mirror finish look when lit?

When the bulb is on, the frosted white interior diffuser and the crystal droplets inside become visible through the mirror-coated glass, creating a layered effect. When off, the exterior appears as a solid reflective sphere that mirrors the surrounding room.

Can multiple Pandoras be installed in a row?

Yes. The 18cm diameter allows multiples to be spaced 600-900mm apart over kitchen islands or dining tables without visual crowding. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose connection or can be wired into a multi-outlet ceiling plate if preferred.
