Paloma 3 Light Large Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Paloma is a 390mm flush crystal ceiling light built around a dome of octagonal cut-crystal beads set into concentric brass rings, with an antique brass backplate carrying a beaded rim detail. Three E14 bulbs inside the dome light the crystal from within, creating multiply-refracted light that projects onto the ceiling and surrounding walls. The 170mm projection from ceiling to base of the crystal dome fits rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards.

Designed for low-ceiling hallways, bedroom centrepieces, and landing positions where a pendant drop would intrude into headroom, the Paloma delivers decorative presence without requiring the clearance a suspended fitting needs. The flush backplate fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose and the weight of the crystal dome is supported by the brass frame rather than the fixing alone, distributing the 1.8kg load safely. The three-bulb configuration provides sufficient ambient light for rooms up to 12-15m².

The antique brass finish shows a warmer, slightly darker tone than polished brass, with subtle surface variation that reduces reflections and pairs with both traditional and transitional interiors. Each octagonal crystal bead is individually faceted, so light passing through the dome breaks into multiple points rather than diffusing evenly. The beaded rim on the backplate echoes classical ceiling rose detailing and gives the fitting a finished edge where it meets the ceiling plane.

What bulbs does it take?

The Paloma takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K to replicate the warm glow the antique brass finish complements.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming — dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 170mm projection from ceiling to the lowest point of the crystal dome means the fitting works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.3m upwards without intruding into normal head clearance. It's specifically designed as a flush alternative to pendants in low-ceiling spaces.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal bead individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal frame or allowing moisture into the bulb holders.
