Description

Twenty-one lights sit across a black chrome frame hung with clear Asfour crystal, a full 125cm across at its widest point. The crystal is cut to throw light back in small bright points rather than a single wash, so the fitting reads as busy and lively even at low output. Each arm takes an E14 lamp, and the drop can be set short or long to suit the ceiling height above it.

This is a piece for rooms with air above them: a stairwell in a large house, a double-height hall, a long dining table in a room that can carry the width. Ambient light is what it does best, filling a room rather than picking out a single spot. We would run LED candle lamps in it, plain or flame tip, and pair them with a dimmer so the crystal can be brought down to a low glow after dinner. Dimmable lamps are needed for that. It suits period houses and new builds equally, since the black chrome keeps the crystal from reading as fussy.

The frame is finished in black chrome throughout, a darker, cooler tone than polished chrome that gives the clear crystal something to sit against. Keep it looking well by dusting the crystal with a soft dry cloth and lifting fingermarks with a barely damp one, working a section at a time with the power off; polishes and solvents will dull both crystal and plating. It carries a one year warranty. This is the largest fitting in the range we stock, and we also keep a smaller version in the same black chrome, with both sizes offered in French gold if you want a warmer frame. Lamps are not included.
