Organica 9 Light Table Lamp - Gloss White

The Organica is a 550mm spherical table lamp built from gloss white polymer with multiple organic-shaped apertures cut through the shell. Nine G9 bulb fittings inside the sphere cast light through the cut-outs, projecting soft-edged shadows onto surrounding surfaces when lit. The polished chrome base and internal fittings provide metallic contrast against the white outer shell.

Designed for statement placement on console tables, sideboards and large side tables in living rooms, hallways and open-plan spaces, the Organica functions as both sculpture and light source. The 550mm diameter requires at least 700mm of clear surface space to avoid overwhelming the furniture beneath. The lamp sits 510mm tall from base to top of sphere, making it visible across room divides and over low furniture without blocking sightlines at standard seating height.

The irregular apertures in the polymer shell are inspired by marine coral and sponge structures, with each cut-out varying in size and organic form. When the nine G9 bulbs are lit, the cut-outs act as directional openings, sending pools of light onto walls, ceilings and nearby surfaces while the shell itself glows softly from within. The gloss finish on the white polymer reflects ambient light during the day, giving the lamp presence even when switched off. At 3.7kg, the lamp has enough mass to remain stable on most flat surfaces.

What bulbs does it take?

The Organica takes nine G9 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2-4W each to achieve adequate brightness without excessive heat build-up inside the enclosed sphere. Total wattage depends on bulb choice.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair the lamp with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.

How much surface space does it need?

The 550mm diameter sphere requires at least 700mm of clear surface space to avoid overhanging the edge of a console table or sideboard. The lamp is 510mm tall, so it works on furniture between 700-900mm high in rooms with standard ceiling heights.

Can the polymer shell be cleaned?

The gloss white polymer can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For marks or fingerprints, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners, sprays or polishes that may dull the gloss finish or damage the polymer.
