Ora 8 Light Sculptural Chandelier 80cm - Gloss White & Polished Chrome

The Ora is an 80cm sculptural chandelier built from a continuous ribbon of gloss white ABS polymer that flows through eight undulating curves, each housing an E27 bulb behind an opal diffuser. The form hangs from a polished chrome canopy on adjustable cables, allowing a drop between 400mm and 1500mm depending on ceiling height and installation preference.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Ora functions as both ambient light source and three-dimensional centrepiece. The eight E27 sockets accept standard screw-fit bulbs (CFL bulbs included, LED replacements compatible), allowing control over colour temperature and brightness. With suitable dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, output can be adjusted from full 120W brightness down to low accent lighting.

The gloss white ABS body is a single moulded piece that curves through space without visible seams, giving the fitting its continuous flowing profile. The opal diffusers along each curve soften the light from the eight bulbs, preventing glare while highlighting the form's geometry. Polished chrome accents at the suspension points and canopy provide metallic contrast against the white body. At 3.4kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or to a spreading plate rated for the weight.

Is the Ora dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmer-ready. CFL bulbs are included, but these are typically not dimmable, so replace with dimmable LED E27 bulbs for full dimming functionality.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 400mm to 1500mm. For a dining table or kitchen island, allow 700-900mm clearance above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the fitting by using the minimum 400mm drop.

Can LED bulbs be used instead of the included CFLs?

Yes. The E27 sockets accept any standard screw-fit LED, CFL or halogen bulb up to the maximum 120W combined wattage. Most users replace the included CFLs with warm-white LED bulbs in the 6-10W range for lower energy consumption and better dimming performance.

What installation support is required for the 3.4kg weight?

The ceiling canopy must be fixed into a solid joist or to a spreading plate rated for at least 5kg. Plasterboard alone will not support the weight, so use appropriate fixings or consult an electrician to install a reinforced ceiling rose.
