Ora 8 Light LED Chandelier 80cm - Gloss Black & Chrome

The Ora is an 80cm chandelier built around a continuous ribbon-loop of high-gloss black acrylic that twists through space, housing eight E27 bulbs behind white opal diffusers. The loop is suspended on four polished chrome cables from a circular chrome ceiling canopy, and the diffusers sit within the curves of the ribbon, casting light both outward through the opal and inward across the black surface.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height hallways and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Ora works as both functional overhead lighting and sculptural centrepiece. The drop is adjustable from 400mm to 1500mm on installation, allowing the loop to sit 600-800mm above a dining table or higher in circulation spaces. The 800mm diameter suits tables or islands 1.6-2.2m long, and the combination of eight bulbs and opal diffusion provides sufficient output for ambient dining or task lighting over kitchen islands.

The gloss black finish on the ribbon reflects light from the opal diffusers and adjacent surfaces, creating highlights that shift with viewing angle. The polished chrome cables and canopy contrast with the black body, providing material separation at the suspension points. The ribbon-loop structure weighs 6kg and requires a suitable ceiling fixing capable of supporting this weight plus the dynamic load during installation. CFL bulbs are included, but the fitting accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 15W per socket for dimming or colour temperature preference.

Is the Ora dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and install a compatible dimmer switch. The included CFL bulbs may not be dimmable, check the packaging. Most users replace them with dimmable LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K for full control.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 400mm to 1500mm. For dining table use the chandelier typically sits 600-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. The 800mm diameter also requires clearance around the table to avoid the ribbon obstructing sightlines.

What table size does the 80cm diameter suit?

The 800mm loop diameter works over rectangular dining tables 1.6-2.2m long or kitchen islands of similar length. Over shorter tables the loop may feel oversized; over longer tables two Ora chandeliers can be installed in series.

Can I replace the bulbs with LEDs?

Yes. The fitting takes standard E27 bulbs up to 15W per socket. The included CFLs can be replaced with LED bulbs in the same colour temperature (2700K warm white is closest to the included CFLs) or adjusted to 3000K or 4000K depending on room preference.
