Description

The Ora is a 73cm diameter chandelier built around a moulded ABS elliptical loop finished in piano-gloss black, held by polished chrome suspension cables and canopy. Six E27 bulb fittings sit within the loop, each backed by an opal diffuser that softens and distributes light across the curved black surface.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Ora provides both ambient and sculptural presence. The adjustable drop ranges from 300mm to 1500mm, allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The chrome cables support the 2.5kg ABS loop without visible sagging and conceal the electrical cable run.

The gloss black finish creates high contrast against the opal diffusers and chrome metalwork, giving the fitting a strong visual presence even when unlit. The moulded ABS construction keeps the weight low compared to metal equivalents, simplifying ceiling mounting in properties where joist loading is a concern. The six E27 sockets accept any standard screw-base bulb up to 15W per socket (90W total), and CFL lamps are included with the fitting. Dimmable when paired with appropriate lamps and a compatible dimmer.

Because the drop adjusts from 300mm to 1500mm, the fitting can be set close to a lower ceiling or lowered further in taller halls, and the E27 sockets accept warm 2700K lamps that share the 90W total across all six positions. The polished chrome brackets and rose read as bright points against the gloss black loop, and at 2.5kg the moulded body keeps ceiling loading modest during installation and use.

Does it come with bulbs?

Yes. The Ora is supplied with six CFL lamps rated at 2700K warm white. These can be replaced with any E27 LED, CFL or halogen bulbs up to 15W per socket (90W total).

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-ready. Dimming depends on pairing the appropriate dimmable E27 bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all LED or CFL bulbs support dimming, so check bulb specifications before purchasing replacements.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 300mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.4m and above when positioned over a dining table or island. For higher ceilings the drop can be extended up to 1500mm, allowing the fitting to be used in double-height entrance halls or living areas.

How is the gloss black finish maintained?

Wipe the ABS loop with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid sprays, polishes or abrasive cleaners, which can dull or scratch the piano-gloss surface.
