Description

The Ora is a 105cm diameter suspension light built from a continuous gloss black frame that curves in three interconnected loops, each loop supporting opal diffusers housing E27 bulbs. Twelve bulbs in total sit within the frame, with polished chrome mounting brackets securing each loop to the central ceiling rose. The automotive-grade gloss black finish reflects light back from the opal diffusers, creating a layered glow that highlights the frame's sculptural geometry.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, open-plan living areas, and dining spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Ora requires vertical clearance to balance its 1.05m width with a drop adjustable from 500mm to 1500mm. The twelve E27 sockets accept LED, CFL or filament bulbs (CFL lamps included) and the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer. At 8.6kg the fixture needs secure fixing to a joist or ceiling plate rated for the combined weight.

The gloss black finish is applied in multiple coats to achieve a deep, mirror-like surface that contrasts with the polished chrome hardware. Each of the three loops curves through space at different heights and angles, creating asymmetry when viewed from below but balanced symmetry when viewed from the side. The opal diffusers soften the direct light from the bulbs, turning the entire frame into an ambient light source rather than twelve individual points.
