Description

The Ora is a single-light wall fitting with a sculptural gloss black ABS body, polished chrome accent bar and an opal diffuser cone. The fitting measures 310mm high by 130mm wide with a 240mm projection from the wall, housing a single E27 bulb (15W CFL included). The opal cone diffuses light upward and downward along the wall, creating wash light rather than a focused beam.

Designed for hallways, living room accent positions and bedroom feature walls, the Ora works as both ambient lighting and a decorative object. The gloss black finish is automotive-grade lacquer over ABS plastic, giving a deep reflective surface that holds definition under both natural and artificial light. The chrome bar runs vertically down the fitting, separating the black body from the opal cone.

The E27 socket accepts standard Edison screw bulbs up to 15W, with dimmer compatibility depending on the bulb chosen (LED or halogen) and the dimmer model. The 15W CFL included provides 2700K warm white light at installation. The ABS construction keeps the weight to 0.5kg, allowing installation on most wall types without additional reinforcement. The 240mm projection suits walls without heavy foot traffic. Position the fitting clear of doorways and circulation zones.

The 130mm width keeps the profile narrow enough for tight positions, while the 240mm projection carries the opal cone clear of the wall so light spreads freely across the surface. Is the Ora dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The included 15W CFL may or may not be dimmable depending on the specific model supplied. Check the bulb packaging. We suggest replacing the CFL with a dimmable LED for full dimmer compatibility.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 15W. A 15W CFL is included. You can replace it with any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb that fits within the opal cone aperture.

How far does it project from the wall?

The Ora projects 240mm from the wall when installed. This makes it unsuitable for narrow hallways or positions next to door openings where the fitting could be knocked. Allow clearance of at least 300mm from the edge of the fitting to any door swing or circulation path.

How is the gloss black finish maintained?

Wipe the ABS body with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, use a barely-damp cloth followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishes or solvents that can damage the lacquer finish.
