The Olivia is a 50cm 5-light crystal chandelier combining an antique brass frame with a black gauze drum shade and Asfour cut crystal droplets. Five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit beneath the shade, with their light diffused through the black fabric and reflected by the crystal elements suspended from each curved brass arm.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Olivia pairs traditional chandelier structure with a contemporary black-and-brass palette. The adjustable drop runs from 690mm to 1530mm, allowing the fitting to be set between 700-900mm above a dining table surface or lower into a double-height space. The 500mm shade diameter suits tables and rooms of 4-6m width without dominating the ceiling plane.

Each Asfour crystal is precision-cut to refract candlelight from the E14 bulbs, creating sparkle points that contrast with the diffused glow through the black gauze. The antique brass finish shows deliberately darkened patina in the detailing, giving depth to the scrollwork arms and centre sphere. The shade itself is taut-stretched fabric rather than pleated, maintaining clean lines when viewed from below. At 3kg total weight, the chandelier requires a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point rather than a standard plasterboard rose.

What bulbs does the Olivia take?

The chandelier takes five E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional glow that complements the antique brass and crystal.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and connect the chandelier to a compatible dimmer switch. The brass frame and wiring support dimming; the bulb choice determines whether dimming actually works.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 690mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights of 2.6m or above when hanging over a dining table (typically positioned 700-900mm above the table surface). For higher ceilings or entrance halls, the maximum 1530mm drop allows the chandelier to be lowered into the space.

How is the black shade cleaned?

The black gauze shade attracts dust. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low power, or a clean, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water or cleaning sprays, which can mark the fabric or loosen the fabric tension on the frame.
