Description

The Olivia is a 50cm diameter crystal chandelier built on a five-arm antique brass frame with cascading Asfour crystal droplets and a pleated ivory cream fabric shade. Five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit beneath the shade, their light filtered through both the translucent fabric and the faceted crystals suspended on chains below each arm.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Olivia pairs the ornamental presence of a traditional crystal chandelier with the softening effect of the cream shade. The drop is adjustable between 690mm and 1530mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be set 700-900mm above a dining table or hung higher in a double-height entrance. The antique brass finish provides a warmer, less reflective tone than polished brass, pairing well with heritage interiors and warm-toned contemporary schemes.

The Asfour crystals are precision-cut leaded glass components that catch and refract light in multiple directions, giving the chandelier its characteristic sparkle when the bulbs are lit. The pleated cream shade diffuses the direct light from the five bulbs while allowing enough glow through to illuminate the crystals suspended below. At 3kg total weight, the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the load and secure fixing into a joist or ceiling anchor.

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Pair with dimmable E14 LED candle bulbs (typically 4-6W, 2700K-3000K) for a warm ambient glow that can be adjusted to suit the time of day and room function.

No. The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with dimmable LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a warm glow.

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs. The chandelier itself is passive wiring with no integrated driver, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs you install and the dimmer switch on your circuit.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 690mm minimum drop plus the 500mm diameter means the chandelier needs at least 2.4m ceiling height to avoid head clearance issues. For dining tables, the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in most standard-height dining rooms.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

Yes, but it requires partial disassembly. The drop is set during installation by shortening or lengthening the chain and cable run. Once installed, adjusting the drop means lowering the chandelier, re-routing the cable and re-fixing the ceiling rose cover.
