Description

The Olivia is a 1630mm floor lamp built around a polished chrome stem with a grey fabric shade housing three E14 bulb fittings. Asfour crystal droplets cascade from the frame beneath the shade, refracting light when the bulbs are on. The 450mm-diameter shade sits at head height for most seated positions, diffusing light outward and down without glare.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and lounge areas where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Olivia provides general room illumination without needing a ceiling fitting. The lamp takes three E14 candle bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge floor dimmer. The grey fabric shade softens the light output while the chrome and crystal provide decorative interest when the lamp is off.

The polished chrome finish on the stem and base shows reflections and pairs cleanly with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The Asfour crystal droplets are precision-cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper light refraction and more weight than plastic equivalents. The lamp weighs 5.4kg, which gives stability on carpet and hard floors without needing additional ballast. The Olivia takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible floor dimmer. The lamp itself is passive wiring and has no built-in dimmer, so dimming capability depends entirely on the bulbs chosen and whether a dimmer is placed inline on the power cable.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The Asfour crystal droplets can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the lamp is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, individual droplets can be removed from their hooks, washed in warm soapy water, rinsed, dried and re-hung.

Can the shade be replaced?

The grey fabric shade is fitted to the lamp frame during manufacture. Replacement shades may be available directly from Diyas — contact us for current availability if the original shade is damaged.
