Description

The Olivia is a 2-light crystal wall light with an antique brass frame, white gauze drum shade and Asfour crystal droplets suspended beneath the lampholders. The fitting measures 350mm square with a 200mm wall projection and houses two E14 bulbs (sold separately) behind a pull-cord switch mounted on the brass backplate.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and formal living rooms where ambient wall lighting is needed with decorative detail, the Olivia combines Flemish-style brass scrollwork with faceted crystal drops that catch and refract light when the bulbs are lit. The white fabric shade diffuses the light from both bulbs into a soft glow rather than a directed beam, making the fitting suitable for evening ambient lighting rather than reading or task work.

The antique brass finish on the metalwork has a slightly aged, darker tone compared to polished or satin brass, pairing well with traditional and heritage-inspired interiors. The crystal droplets are cut Asfour crystal rather than glass or acrylic, giving sharper light refraction and a higher clarity when viewed up close. The pull-cord switch allows the light to be operated without requiring a separate wall switch, useful in bedrooms or areas where switch positioning is limited.

The 350mm width and 200mm projection suit most wall spaces, though rooms with very narrow corridors or alcoves under 600mm wide may find the fitting visually dominant. The 1.14kg weight requires fixing into solid masonry, plasterboard with cavity anchors rated to 3kg minimum, or wooden battens behind the wall surface.

What bulbs does the Olivia take?

The fitting takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that complements the antique brass finish.

Is the Olivia dimmable?

Yes, if dimmable E14 bulbs are fitted. The pull-cord switch itself is not a dimmer — dimming control requires a separate wall-mounted dimmer on the circuit and compatible dimmable LED bulbs.

Can the shade be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The white gauze shade lifts off the brass frame for cleaning. Wipe dust from the fabric with a dry microfibre cloth or use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on low suction. The crystal droplets can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and dried immediately to avoid water marks.

What wall fixing is needed?

The 1.14kg weight requires fixing into solid masonry with wall plugs and screws, plasterboard with cavity anchors rated to at least 3kg, or wooden battens behind the plasterboard. Surface-fixed plasterboard anchors rated under 2kg are not suitable.
