Description
The Knightsbridge Odina is a square recessed downlight with a tiltable GU10 lamp holder housed in a white die-cast aluminium bezel. The 82mm square faceplate sits 6mm proud of the ceiling once installed, with a 25-degree tilt range allowing the light to be angled towards artwork, architectural features, or specific areas of a room rather than casting purely vertical downlight.
Designed for residential living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and light commercial installations including hospitality and retail where directed accent lighting is needed, the Odina requires a 70mm ceiling void depth and a 72mm cut-out diameter. The lamp holder accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose colour temperature, beam angle, and dimmable or non-dimmable options including Knightsbridge's own SmartKnight range for wireless control.
The die-cast aluminium construction provides a rigid bezel that won't flex or distort once fitted into plasterboard or suspended ceilings. The white powder-coat finish integrates with white ceilings in contemporary, minimalist and Scandinavian interiors. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only — bathrooms and kitchens with steam zones require IP44 or IP65-rated alternatives. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty and is compatible with Knightsbridge fire hoods where fire rating compliance is required (consult the fire hood data sheet to confirm compatibility).

Frequently Asked
What ceiling void depth is required?
The Odina requires a minimum 70mm ceiling void above the plasterboard or suspended ceiling to accommodate the lamp holder and GU10 bulb. The 72mm cut-out diameter is drilled or cut into the ceiling surface before the fitting is clipped in.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in either 3000K warm white or 4000K neutral white depending on the room use.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb you fit. The downlight itself has no electronics — it's a passive lamp holder. If you fit a dimmable GU10 LED and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the fitting will dim. Non-dimmable GU10s will not dim regardless of switch type.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only. Bathrooms require IP44 (zones 2 and 3) or IP65 (zones 1 and 2). See the Knightsbridge IP-rated downlight range for bathroom alternatives.
