Description
The Odina is an 82mm round recessed downlight with a tiltable GU10 lamp holder set inside a die-cast aluminium bezel finished in matt black. The lamp holder tilts up to 25° from centre, allowing light to be angled toward a wall, artwork, or specific area of a room rather than casting a fixed vertical beam. The downlight requires a 72mm ceiling cut-out and a minimum 70mm void above the ceiling line.
Designed for residential living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and light commercial hospitality spaces, the Odina pairs with any standard GU10 LED bulb up to 10W (sold separately). Knightsbridge produces dimmable, non-dimmable, and SmartKnight controllable GU10 options across a range of colour temperatures, giving flexibility to choose the light output and control parameters that suit the installation. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb chosen.
The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the GU10 lamp, while the matt black finish integrates cleanly into dark ceilings or provides contrast against white. The bezel sits 6mm proud of the ceiling surface once installed, creating a defined circular trim around the aperture. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only — it is not rated for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor installation. The fitting carries a 5-year warranty and is compatible with Knightsbridge fire hoods where ceiling fire rating compliance is required.

Frequently Asked
Does this downlight come with a GU10 bulb?
No. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED bulb up to 10W but bulbs are sold separately. Knightsbridge produces a range of GU10 options including dimmable, non-dimmable, and SmartKnight controllable variants in different colour temperatures.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating limits the Odina to dry indoor locations only. For bathroom installation, an IP65-rated downlight is required to meet UK wiring regulations for zones 1 and 2.
What does the 25° tilt allow?
The lamp holder tilts up to 25° from vertical, allowing the beam to be angled toward a wall, artwork, or specific area rather than casting light straight down. This is useful for accent lighting or reducing glare in living rooms and bedrooms.
What ceiling void depth is needed?
A minimum 70mm void above the ceiling surface is required to accommodate the fitting and allow adequate airflow around the GU10 lamp for heat dissipation.
